Prashant is a Partner at Origin Ventures, joining the firm in 2017. He invests across Origin’s thematic areas including AI infrastructure, frontier tech, software, and marketplaces.
Prior to joining Origin, Prashant was the first product manager at Metromile, the leading pay-per-mile auto insurance company. Metromile scaled to hundreds of millions in revenue and raised $200M+ in equity financing during his tenure. Prashant was also a consultant at Bain & Company, advising large technology companies on emerging technologies.
Prashant’s investments include Opticore, Lemurian Labs, Glimpse, Clearjet, Burq, H3X, ControlRooms, and Hammoq.
Prashant holds undergraduate degrees in Economics, Environmental Economics, and Business from the University of California at Berkeley, and MBA and MPP degrees from the University of Chicago.
Prashant is also a board member of Art in Action, a non-profit offering a comprehensive K-8 visual arts program. He loves basketball, travel, politics, and poker.
