Prashant Shukla is a Partner at Origin Ventures, where he focuses on AI infrastructure, marketplaces, and vertical software. He joined the investment team in 2017 and serves as a board member or observer for Opticore, Clearjet, Century Health, ControlRooms, Lemurian Labs, Everee, and Burq. He also led Origin’s investments in Glimpse, Vitalis, and H3X.
Before Origin, Prashant was the first product manager at Metromile, the leading pay-per-mile auto insurer, where he helped scale the company to hundreds of millions in revenue and three hundred employees. He began his career at Bain & Company advising technology clients on emerging technologies, with additional work across telecom, healthcare, and education.
Prashant holds undergraduate degrees in Economics, Business, and Environmental Economics & Policy from the University of California, Berkeley, and MBA and MPP degrees from the University of Chicago.
Prashant is also a board member of Art in Action, a nonprofit offering a comprehensive K-8 visual arts program. He loves spending time with his children, travel, basketball, and poker.
