Origin Ventures Closes $140M Sixth Fund
We are pleased to announce Origin Ventures VI, our newest early-stage fund that closed earlier this year with $140M in capital commitments.
The fund was oversubscribed and is the largest in the firm’s 25-year history, bringing assets under management to nearly $500M. The fund’s institutional, family office, and individual investors stretch across five continents.

Torus - a full-stack energy storage platform for utility companies, C&I buildings, data centers, and defense facilities. Torus recently announced a $200M growth financing.

Opticore – optical computing chip to improve performance and drastically reduce power consumption in AI data centers.

Nate Walkingshaw - the co-founder and CEO of Torus, Nate was previously the Chief Product Officer for Pluralsight through the company’s IPO. Nate also founded a medical device company acquired by Stryker.
Andy Dunn - the founder and CEO of Pie, Andy was previously the co-founder of Bonobos - which was acquired by Walmart.
Matt Maloney - has founded CurbsideSOS, after previously leading Grubhub through its IPO in 2014. Origin Ventures led Grubhub’s Series A in 2007.
Monte Zweben - the co-founder of ControlRooms, Monte previously took software company Blue Martini public. Monte also sold Red Pepper Software to Peoplesoft.
